The Project and Costing Manager will be promoting and developing standard procedures and best practices.

Respond in a timely and accurate manner to cost requests

Liaise with MCP Hubs, other Kantar countries, and local teams (Operations, Client Service and Financial Decision Makers) in an efficient, professional, and friendly manner

For Fieldwork, calculate accurate costs for RFQ’s ensuring they are transparent and logical.

Receive accurate and transparent costs for RFQ’s from local teams (Operations, Finance, …)

Collate and analyze costs received, ensuring all parameters of the RFQ have been costed for correctly, standard global

rates have been used, and all the necessary information has been shared

Seek advice and information on more complex requests as required

Provide alternative solutions in situations where appropriate

Assume full responsibility for updating and maintaining: Cost sheets, Cost manual

Assume full responsibility for working with Kantar Estimate to:

Develop Kantar Estimate (to match our requirements and support faster cost turnaround)

Test Kantar Estimate against existing costs (with support from delivery teams where necessary)

Plan and drive the roll-out and implementation of Kantar Estimate across the business

Support research teams during implementation of Kantar Estimate to ensure the success of this initiative

Who to Apply:

Applicant must have a tertiary education, preferably a degree (B.Com, Accounting, Business Administration, Project Management or equivalent)

Excellent knowledge of Excel and Word added advantage

At least 3-5 years working experience

Sound understanding of the research process and marketing research, previous research experience an advantage

Proven record & relevant costing/financial experience

Ability to work in a deadline-driven pressurized environment

Good negotiating and conflict resolution skills

Articulate and able to communicate clearly, both written and verbally, with no ambiguities

Good understanding of finance processes, commercials of a project.

Ability to use excel to run analysis and reports, which can communicate trends and scenarios which are useful for decision making or taking remedial actions
