Scholarship Details

The 2021 Wells Mountain Initiative (WMI) Scholarship Program for Students from Developing countries is ready to fund students of the developing world as much as expected. With this scholarship, scholars will be sufficiently trained, better facilitated, and equipped to become more socially- enlightened.

Through scholarship for students from developing countries, the initiative aims to breed scholars focused on community service and volunteerism. 

WMI has interests in women and girls.

How the Scholarship Works

The 2021 WMI Scholarship Program will run between January 2021 to January 2022. The scholarship will provide a full tuition fee waiver for the year, plus a stipend of £8,000, which will be paid over 12 months.

Scholarship Requirements

A male or female student from a developing country.

Such students must have completed secondary education with good grades.

He/she must agree to study in his or her country or other developing countries.

Only students pursuing their first bachelor’s degree or diploma can apply for the 2021 WMI Scholarship Program.

The student will be enrolled in a study program beneficial to the community and contribute to the continued growth and advancement of his or her home country.

All applicants for the 2021 WMI Scholarship Program must plan to live and work in their home country after graduation.

Prospective applicants for the WMI scholarship need to have demonstrated their commitment to giving back and have volunteered before their application.

Students who have other funds available for their education but cannot pursue their tertiary degree without financial assistance can also apply.

These are needed document for the WMI Scholarship Program:

Clear Personal Photo

Essay (topic is stated on the application form)

Two recommendation letters

Official transcript of grades from secondary school

Official grading key to interpret secondary school grades.

Official transcript of grades from tertiary studies (if applicable)

Official grading key to interpret tertiary grades.

Official results from your national exam

Official grading key to interpret scores on your national exam.

Applicants who can evidence their refugee status will be considered a priority group.
